Frankly to say, the online journalism issue presented by the speaker is also the thing that around my mind. Fake news is the biggest problem when talking about online journalism, as everyone could be a content writer nowadays. There are literally no rules at all when it comes to writing online, thus untrue news is flying everywhere.

One of the points that the speaker mentioned which caught my attention and it is a point that I couldn’t agree more is that we all should read multiple sources of news rather than single-source which only provides one viewpoint. We knew that bias is something that exists in everyone and everywhere. Certain pages, or media having viewpoints on a certain side while the others would have on another side. In my opinion, as we are in a digital era which can easily access to any media platform, therefore in fact we should look an issue from more source which provides more different viewpoint rather than decides to totally reject particular media or source.

Furthermore, I totally agreed with the speaker saying that most of the stories we got from online nowadays are probably fake, no matter it was an article, photo, or video, anything that appeared online today could be edited. Therefore, people should be more aware and be careful about it. Besides that, in my opinion, I think as a young generation who gets in touch with technology often, we should play our part in educating our elders on differentiating the fake news and the real news.
